Surrey brewery making pro-active choices about waste water

Re: “Beer brewers face sewage crackdown,” The Leader, July 14 online.

We at Central City made a conscious decision at the time of construction to include a waste-water treatment plant within the brewery, and be pro-active and a leader in brewery effluent discharge.

We have been visited by the Annacis Island treatment facility and have received praise for the steps we have taken to fully mitigate a potential problem.

I would like the Surrey public to know and be proud that we are not lumped in to the “crackdown” that may be coming.
