Columnist disappoints

Editor, The News:

Very disappointed in the one-sided comments by Jack Emberly, (The News, July 4).

He talks about the truth, and the government being liars. What about the teachers union, the only public sector union not to settle its pay dispute – the one fighting for the rights of the children, yet striking, cancelling summer school where our neediest students go, not giving final grades, disrupting home life for students with both parents working, and the list goes on.

But hey, they are fighting for these students, not to have a huge bump in their already inflated pay, average of $71,000 per year.

You should give equal time to someone who will give us the whole facts, not one-side comments from a left-wing radical, as we are getting from Mr. Emberly.
