No point in complaining

Editor:

Do I complain about my neighbour's blueberry cannons? No.

Does he move his 3 triple-shot cannons and 1 AV Alarm every four days or at all? No.

Does he use other devices before using cannons as a last resort? No.

Does he only use cannons when birds are present? No.

Does he have a bird predation management plan? Most likely no.

All of the above are some of the requirements of the province's ABSD guidelines.

If he wanted to he could, as allowed by the guidelines, use 13 triple-shot cannons (one every five acres) all blasting on different timers every five minutes.

Why would I take the chance he would up the use of cannons if a complaint was made about him?

That's why I won't complain and that's why you don't take province controlled guidelines, that for years we've been saying don't work, and put them into a province-controlled city bylaw hoping they will work.

None of that gets rid of the noise and that's why cannons and other ABSDs should be banned.
