Advice about hoarder wasn't helpful

Re: My mom is a hoarder (As We Age, NewsLeader, June 11)

Eve Silverman’s advice was not very helpful.  She said, “There is no easy answer to your dilemma.”

There is an EASY answer to the dilemma—clean it up. What ‘concerned daughter’ should do is contact the public health inspector in Fraser Health, have them come out and they will give an order that it be cleaned up. Their inspection will not produce unfavourable consequences. The answer for mom if and when she comes home is—the public health inspector made us do it.
