Thank you

From April 25 to 27, the Canadian Federation of University Women held its provincial annual conference in Vernon which was attended by women from 20 chapters across B.C.

Many Vernon and surrounding area businesses were approached to contribute items to the silent auction, the proceeds of which went to education scholarships for women pursuing post-graduate research.

Thanks to the generous response of these businesses, the silent auction was a resounding success.

I was involved directly in approaching businesses and was very pleased with the generosity shown, especially when they must be constantly bombarded for donations.

I have recently moved to Vernon and this community has shown me what a great heart it  has.

I am proud to call Vernon my home.

I'll personally go out of my way to do business with our donors as will other members of our CFUW chapter.

Thank you to all of those businesses who helped us.
