Renters care too

Re: City approves Downtown rental tower (NewsLeader, May 2)

Diane Butler makes a comment that renters tend to be transient and don't have an interest in our community. Has Ms. Butler spoken to every person who rents in New West? Well, she missed me because I care very much about my community. In addition to attending events in the city, I have been an active member of the Royal City Humane Society for 11 years because I care.

I am also the recycling champion in my building because I care. By the way, I have been living in my building for nearly 17 years.

If she considers that transient, she is more than welcome to buy me a condo.

A two bedroom with a nice view of the Fraser would be great!
