Dogs should be returned to their owners

Paris and Axel seem to have pushed the bureaucrats at Richmond City Hall beyond all reason.

Richmond Animal Protection Society has a very clear “no kill” policy, and the city adopted that policy when RAPS took over the shelter.  The city employees of who are responsible for the city shelter should be listening to the advice of all the experts who have provided information to confirm that these animals are not a danger to the community.  They should be returned to their owners before their health deteriorates further.

Carol Reichert will be very sadly missed at the city shelter and those of us who support the no kill policy of RAPS will continue to hold the city accountable for their actions.
