Letter: Parking lot trap next to Kelowna General Hospital

To the editor:

Re: The parking lot next to Strathcona Park on Abbott Street. There are 23 stalls and only four small signs saying that the entire lot is for use of hospital staff from November to the end of March.

There is no sign at the entrance saying that the lot is only for the hospital staff.

I received a ticket and there were no signs near where I parked. A lady from Edmonton visiting her mother in hospital also received a ticket. It’s completely unfair.

I don’t park where I’m not supposed to park. The signage is completely inadequate.

In trying to track down who is responsible for the signage, apparently it is with the city parking department. Hopefully the signage will be drastically improved.
