Ferry change benefits Liberals

Re: Change in ferry revenue just a smokescreen (Letters, Nov. 29)

I wonder how many people are aware that the decision of the “high paid ferry executives” to cut the free sailings for seniors is not really  going to save the ferry system anything?

In fact it’s going to save the B.C. Liberal government lots of money – money that they will be able to siphon off to wherever they want like they have so many times in the past.

As Rein Nienaber points out, the ferry corporation bills the government for costs to give seniors free sailings Monday to Thursday.

Stopping this freebie to the most vulnerable is not going to save them money as they claim, it’s going to save Christy Clark and her gang money, and we all know what will happen to that money.
