Thanks Mrs. Claus
Dear Mrs. Claus,
Thank you for the very lovely company watching the truck parade on Friday night.
You are such a dear and very special woman. You looked sparkly and radiant when you got in my little red car. I was happy to shelter you from the rain and keep your lovely red velvet dress dry. When you told me at your age you can still fit into the earrings you wore as a teenager, I was so impressed.
I loved that every single truck in the parade created child-like squeals of delight from you. You were so cute yelling “Look Santa in a helicopter. That Santa has had too much rum and eggnog he’s falling over.”
After all these years you still love Santa so much, you are an inspiration.
I now understand from our conversation on gift giving so much more on the decision process you and Santa go through each year.
I agree Jan Tees deserves a wonderful gift for creating such a magical evening by bringing together all of those that participated in such a wonderful community and family event. All those truck drivers and the people who took the time to put thousands of lights on the cement trucks, school buses, logging trucks, they were all fantastic and deserving of a special find Christmas morning. Then there were those less than thoughtful folks who will get a lump of coal to help keep them warm on our wet winter nights.
Just how does that cement truck turn that mixer without the cord for the lights getting all tangled up? I couldn’t figure it out.
I loved your insight into the future when humans will be born with one finger and a thumb as that will be all that is required for our constant texting.
Last but not least for sharing your fashion sense with me :your handmade glasses with the rhinestones glued onto the frames to dress them up because, “You can never have enough sparkle.”
Thanks Mrs. Claus. I was delighted to find myself watching the truck parade with you in your sparkly glasses and baskets of candy canes. It was the best night ever.
