Letter: A park will be nice, but won't rectify what's been done
To the editor;
Extremely sad to see the effects on the wildlife of the cutting down of all those trees on the old Bose farm property.
The photo of the blue heron on the clump of destroyed trees was especially sad to see. Walking by the area myself it is heartbreaking. Surely there are better areas to develop than on land like the farmland.
All these wildlife, displaced and disoriented because their habitat has been destroyed. While it’s nice that a park area is going to be developed, it does not excuse or rectify the devastation that has already occurred.
When is protecting wildlife and caring for the environment going to come above profit and development?
