East v. west salmon?

Nova Scotia rejects fish farms. That province’s minister of fisheries and aquaculture said that Fisheries and Oceans Canada expressed concern about the salmon farms’ impact on wild salmon.
I find it ridiculous that the salmon on the East Coast are of more importance than our salmon.
The B.C. government has proclaimed that the Pacific salmon is the provincial fish. Please have a look at Salmon Confidential on the net.
