Pet sitting help?

Referring to letter to the editor by J. Hill (Jan. 5) about the ‘pet sitter nightmare’, I’m wondering how a person would find a reliable pet sitter or farm sitter in this area?
Many people here are older and some not in good health, what happens to their animals and pets if they get sick or pass away suddenly, especially if a person has recently moved here and doesn’t know many people?
I have contacted some of the service groups to no avail. It would be so nice to find someone or a support group that may help in time of need for pet sitting or farm sitting.
