Don't take out frustrations on 'innocent workers trying to make a living'
Dear editor,
It seems that the new hospital is generally viewed as a positive new addition to the Comox Valley.
Being featured in the newspaper almost every day since the development was decided, recently on the front page more often then not, it would seem to be a logical conclusion that this new facility will be an asset to our community that will help keep people’s health and well being.
The development of the hospital site is absolutely necessary to allow for hospital the hospital to be constructed and for the Valley to benefit from it, but it seems people do not have the patience to deal with the construction and development.
Construction workers require traffic control people to do their jobs, and it does not seem fair that drivers are cursing and throwing objects at the flaggers who are just doing their job.
It seems to be in everyone’s favour but when the time comes for drivers to wait five minutes for construction to take place they have no patience for this hospital.
Harassment of the traffic controllers is not the answer if you do have a problem with the construction of the hospital; they are only there to do their job.
Address your concerns to someone who is in the position to make change, not the innocent workers trying to make a living.
