Re: a letter to the editor in a recent edition of The NEWS (‘Take heart all Newfoundlanders’).
Having had a wonderful four years cycling the globe, we eventually returned to Canada via the U.S. to Newfoundland.
From getting on the ferry for St. John’s, we met a truck driver who started the ball rolling. We had a fantastic two weeks, meeting fantastic, friendly folk.
They were very welcoming and we experienced such generosity from them — we even had a visit with the mayors.
I can say with honesty, your province was No. 1 in every way. I loved the sense of humour and the scenery was magnificent.
Thank you to you all — it will remain in my thoughts for ever.
