Survey on garbage pick-up

Editor, The News:
I am not convinced that municipal garbage pick-up wouldn't hinder our growing interest in recycling. Because of recycling, we only need to visit the transfer station once every three months, costing us $30 to $40 a year.
Why would I want to spend a great deal more to have it picked up? I believe any garbage pick-up should be voluntary. Maybe Coun. Bob Masse is right, let's take a survey.
