Re: Dustin Savage’s Feb. 14 letter regarding abortion in Canada (‘Rights of nature above human life?’):
Savage’s thoughts are barbaric and unreasonable.
Trees, rivers and animals have sustained human life for thousands of years and Savage think it’s not OK to give them rights, as the government of Ecuador has?
Trees shelter us, rivers give us water and animals feed us, yet Savage does not believe they deserve our respect?
Humans have been ruining this planet and it’s OK to grant them rights?
I don’t think so.
Savage’s closed-mindedness is really sad.
