Re: “Kent Granted Age Friendly Funds”
The District of Kent is to be congratulated for its attention to seniors’ issues and age friendly planning. Agassiz-Harrison Senior Peer Support has been active in our communities for the past 12 years working to reach isolated seniors and helping them to connect with services and social events. Through one-on-one home visits , seniors luncheons and senior/teen luncheons we have encouraged seniors to be involved . We also host educational speakers on the third Monday of each month at Cheam Board Room. We are presently recruiting new Peer Support members.
