Politics hits new low
I know Marji Basso personally and politically and have never doubted her integrity or qualification to represent the constituents of Boundary-Similkameen.
The so-called inside information Mr. Tsakumis alludes to is reminiscent of a comment made by the new Liberal candidate Linda Larson who alluded to “knowing and understanding the reasons” John Slater was dropped by the Liberal party.
I cringe at the quote “neither Basso nor Slater have the principled judgment to be in public life”; who is this virtuous man? A good reporter would not make a definitive statement of suitability based on his/her moral point of view. Your paper is a party to an attempt to destroy the candidates with judgmental and moralistic prognostications. Another low point in provincial politics. Yech!
