Snow clearers need to master cul-de-sacs
To the editor:
I am writing this on behalf of all the people in this town who live in a cul-de-sac.
It ticks me off to look out the window and see the snow ploughs have been around and cleared the centre of the circle, pushing all the snow to the front of our driveways.
Not all snow plough drivers do this, as the odd one does it properly by going around the cul-de-sac clockwise and leaving the snow piled up in the middle.
I am hoping the city foreman reads this and instructs all drivers to do the same.
I have tried to talk to someone by phone about this and I was told the trucks have to follow the flow of traffic, which on our street is perhaps one car every hour. And the person I spoke with didn’t seem interested in listening to my solution.
So I hope writing a letter to the editor meets with their approval and the drivers follow through on my
request.
