Charge the bad drivers

In response to Tom Fletcher's column (Penticton Western News, Aug. 30, B.C. Views - No easy answers in ICBC mess) — one answer to the mess is to charge bad drivers, who cause most accidents, more to drive.

In B.C., good drivers like myself, should pay lower premiums, whereas bad drivers should have their premiums increased. Another idea (and I like this the best) is to scrap ICBC altogether and allow private competition for all auto insurance. Without the bloated bueracracy to pay for, rates will also fall.

Once bad drivers learn that they have to pay more, maybe they'll get better.
