LETTER: Strahl's self-congratulation over the top

Editor:

Mark Strahl’s self-laudatory letter regarding the improvements to the education on the reserve may have been overly self congratulatory.

It seems to me that there are enough First Nations leaders in this community that they would have been more than able to praise the government in such an ambitious undertaking.

Strahl’s exuberance should be tempered in also recognizing the resignation of Chief Atleo of the Assembly of First Nations in the face of the public rejection of the government’s bill by the regional chiefs of Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta.
