Have a happy new year playing in the garbage
Who came up with this wonderful garbage collection program?
I expect to get negative feedback here from all these unthinking people that have bought into this program.
It seems to me that this has just increased everybody’s costs with now having to purchase specialized garbage bags, as well as the particular type of string to tie the stuff up with.
What about the time factor with all this sorting and tying, and cutting to fit, not to mention storage space required to keep all this stuff?
The City of Abbotsford may just as well discontinue waste collection altogether, as we seem to be doing all the related work anyway except for the removal.
With all this sorting and classifying we may as well take the waste to the transfer station ourselves.
If people end up doing this I would expect the waste portion (and there is a lot of wasted taxes) of our taxes to be removed.
