Dream of a positive 2013
We have survived another mad holiday season and are now into another year. I’m sure we all wonder what 2013 will bring. Let’s hope it will be a good, happy, peaceful 365 days and we all will remain well and full of beans the whole time.
Unlikely, I’m sure, but we can dream can’t we!
I came home after a Christmas in Vancouver and am glad to be back. Thankfully, I slept in my own bed. It was a wonderful holiday, but exhausting.
Everyone seems to be in such a hurry to go somewhere else — no time to just take it easy, relax and spend some time just chatting with one another.
To add to the drama, my daughter-in-law’s mother collapsed, and was discovered lying on the hall floor. My son called an ambulance and she was taken to hospital where a pacemaker was installed. She arrived back amazingly quickly, full of excitement at her new toy, which she kept patting fondly as she demanded complete attention and instant gratification.
I almost decided to copy her act to divert some of the notice my way, but decided it wasn’t worth the effort when there was so much fun to be had being healthy.
That isn’t very nice of me, but honestly, the things you have to resort to, to get any mileage out of life these days defeats me.
I’m just going to stay quiet, and hope the “grim reaper” doesn’t notice me hiding behind the chesterfield.
