Alberni: what's on for seniors

u Abbeyfield residents are planning to begin the month by attending the “Legion Steak Dinner”, Dec. 1.

u The residents and staff of Rainbow Gardens will be decorating their home for Christmas on Dec. 6. Volunteers welcome. Their Auxiliary will organize their annual Bazaar on Dec. 9, 9:00-11:30 a.m.

u Popular local choral group, “Barclay Sounds” will perform at Heritage Place on December 8 at 1:00 pm.December’s “Christmas Special Events” (Organized by the “Sunshine Club”) at Echo Centre will be attended by many --Senior Homes residents on Dec. 12.

u The “Belly Dancers”will perform for Abbeyfield residents on Dec. 14.

uThe seniors homes residents will attend the annual “Winter Wonderland” at the Multiplex Arena on Dec. 17.

uWesthaven residents and their families will have their Christmas Tea at 2 pm.

u Members of the RCMP local detachment will visit the residents of various seniors homes to bring their Christmas spirit and sing carols.

u The Nativity Story will again highlight the December programs at Westhaven on Dec. 21 at 10:30 am. Some residents will dress as the characters of the Nativity.

u “Breakfast with Santa” at  Rainbow Gardens on Dec. 21. And between 1:30 and 3 pm, they will take part at the “Jingle Ball”.

u Rainbow Gardens will hold the ‘Twas the Night before Christmas Pajamas Party at 1:30 pm Dec. 24.
