Rebels raid Knights
The Castlegar Rebels got a pair of goals from Ryan Aynsley as they brushed back the North Okanagan Knights 4-1 in Kootenay International Junior Hockey League play Friday night at the Castlegar Complex.
Taylor Greatrex, an Armstrong product, collected the Knights’ lone goal, scoring early in the second period to tie the game 1-1. The Rebels’ Jordan Swetilkoff fired the winner less than a minute later, followed two more unanswered Rebel goals.
Netminder Chris Hurry made 40 stops for North Okangan, who dipped to 3-18-0-2. Andrew Walton earned the win for the Rebels (15-6-1-1).
The Knights visited the Nelson Leafs (15-6-1-1) on Saturday.
