Bruins bank on casino night for fundraiser
Fold or hope for a winning card on the river.
It’s Texas Hold’Em time Wednesday, Nov. 25 at the Winfield Memorial Hall with games for hard-core players and beginners.
The Winfield Tier 3 Pee Wee Bruins hockey team is holding the Casino Royale night as their major fundraiser.
Tana Elphicke of the Bruins said there will be a Texas Hold’Em $100 buy-in tournament with a maximum of 100 players. The total payout for the top-five will be $2,000.
Other games of chance include blackjack, craps and spin wheel.
The mixer will include a cash bar and open buffet from 7-11 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance at Sun Valley Source For Sports in Vernon and Kelowna, Woody’s Pub, Mission Sports in Kelowna, the concession at the Winfield Arena and UBR Services Printing in Winfield.
