The North Okanagan Knights got an all-Vernon attack as they tied the Sicamous Eagles 2-2 in Kootenay International Junior Hockey League exhibition play Friday night at Enderby Arena.

Curtis Hagen and Shawn Holliday handled the Knights’ scoring, with a pair of assists coming from Trevor Fitgerald.

The Eagles, who scored in the final minute to earn the tie, responded with goals from Cain Franson and Chad Olson.

“I think we competed far better than we did in that first game against Revelstoke (Grizzlies),” said Knights’ head coach Eddie Johnstone.

“I don’t have a single kid on the roster who played Junior B last year, so it’s a big step for a lot of these kids.

“Overall, we played very well. I saw some very good things, but there are also some things we need to improve on.”
