ShareLakers make leap to AAA

The Kalamalka Lakers make their debut in AAA senior girls volleyball league play Tuesday night at VSS, defeating Fulton Maroons (23-25, 25-15, 15-9) and the host Panthers (25-15, 25-23).
The Lakers moved from first-place provincial AA ranking to the number two spot in the AAA category, behind defending provincial champion Timberline of Campbell River.
The Lakers can thank an enrolment increase of one at Kalamalka for their jump to the AAA division.
No. 8 ranked VSS defeated the No. 9 Maroons in a three-set match earlier.
