We hold the power, people
This is a heads-up, educational bulletin to all reporters, commentators and anyone else who claims to be dispensing news and/or information to the general public.
By radio, television, newspapers or magazines, the constant use of the words "in power" when referring to politicians is a gross overstatement.
They are public servants similar to police personnel, firefighters, emergency medical technicians, hospital staff, all military personnel and anyone who serves your restaurant meals or just coffee and doughnuts.
So, stop referring to them as being "in power."
Also, they should never be allowed to vote on their own raises.
No one, I repeat, no one, should be allowed or given those privileges.
It is the responsibility of this said media personnel and moguls to dispense informational truths — not sensational tripe.
We, the people, need to wake up to the fact that we are the power.
