Carbon tax a waste of time

Just an observation I noticed. Over the last 10 years, during the fall and winter months, the use of words in the media of Climate Change, or Global Warming becomes less and less.

It follows a pattern that is so predictable. It is hard to be taken seriously about global warming when it is -20C and the snow is knee deep. No one believes it.

When it gets warmer in the spring, predictably the fear mongers rise up and we have another onslaught of doom and gloom with their solution of raising taxes to stop climate change.

If only the solution would be that simple.

Raising taxes only makes it more expensive for all of us, and allows the government to fund pet projects that get them re-elected.

A study was done on the carbon tax that was imposed on the drivers of B.C. and the effect that is has on the global scale.

When fully implemented it will only amount to less than 0.0001% of the global carbon emissions.

The powers to be are willing to bankrupt this province, for something that will amount to less than a fart in a windstorm.

The pollution produced from one new coal-fired plant in China and it will be all for nothing.

It makes the politicians feel good and the environmentalists love it but the average working person is hurt in the pocket book.

This carbon tax is not about science but an excuse to pick our pockets and make us feel good while we are being robbed.
