The Armstrong-Spallumcheen Chamber of Commerce invites local residents “Home for the Holidays.”

From Nov. 26 to Dec. 12, the chamber is encouraging residents and visitors to shop local and enjoy the seasonal activities and events in the community.

Downtown Armstrong is a one-stop shopping experience where you can buy and wrap gifts, ship out-of-town parcels, order holiday flowers and pick up groceries, all while enjoying free unlimited parking.

The fun begins with the annual downtown Light Up on Thursday, Nov. 26, followed by the new Home for the Holiday Gift and Food Show Saturday, Nov. 28, and Sunday, Nov. 29.

The fun continues with the 2009 “Home for the Holidays” passport.

Shoppers grab a free passport at any participating business, including stores, restaurants, accommodations and services and fill in the blanks.

After the blanks are filled in, passports are returned to the chamber of commerce office by Dec. 12 to be entered for a chance to win the “Home for the Holidays” shopping spree and other prizes.

No purchase is necessary – just answer the question pertaining to the businesses listed – and you can win. Bonus questions for events can be answered for a chance to win additional prizes.

There will be something happening everyday during “Home for the Holidays.” Get your passport from participating businesses or print your own at www.aschamber.com beginning Nov. 25.
