The federal and provincial governments are providing $835,800 to renovate and retrofit Lake Country social housing in need of repair.

“This partnership ensures that constituents of Kelowna-Lake Country are provided vital housing services,” said MP Ron Cannan.

The Cedar Court social housing development will receive funding for repairs and renovations, focusing on sustainability upgrades.

Sustainability upgrades include installing low flow fixtures, boiler upgrades, lighting retrofits, building air sealing, and improvements to exterior envelopes for enhanced thermal performance.

“Our province is committed to making affordable housing available to seniors and those with disabilities,” said MLA Norm Letnick.

“These new supportive housing units provide options and are important to the social well-being of our community.”
