Abram joins Canadian Diabetes Association
Connie Abram has assumed the role of executive director of the Canadian Diabetes Association BC & Yukon region.
Originally from Vernon, and daughter of Art and Lou Abram, she attended Vernon secondary school and Simon Fraser University after which she focused on government work.
In 1993, Abram moved to Hawaii where she spent 14 years primarily heading the Hawaii division of Mothers Against Drunk Driving. After returning to Canada in 2007, her passion for cause-related work brought her back to the non-profit sector.
Making a difference in her community drives Abram in her career and volunteer work. Cycling, skiing and reading keep her busy outside the workplace.
