Organizers for the 12th Annual North Okanagan Horsey Ladies Charity Christmas Dinner and Auction are in full gear rounding up sponsors, donations and gifts for this fundraising event, to include in the silent and Chinese auctions.

As always, the group will be raising funds for a local charity, to be voted on that evening.

“Last year, the group raised $6,300, and ladies attending that evening voted, with the majority voting for the Equine Assisted Therapy Program at Vernon Women’s Transition House,” said Nancy Roman, with the Horsey Ladies.

Over the past years, the Horsey Ladies have donated $24,697.80 to local charities. All the money raised during the evening goes to the charity.

“This year, we corral the gals north of Vernon at the Spallumcheen Golf and Country Club on Nov. 20 for a dinner and social fun night, with the horse being the common denominator,” said Roman. “You don’t even have to own a horse, it’s just the love of horses that brings us together.”

Tickets are on sale now at $30 and available at three of the group’s sponsors: Country West Supply in Armstrong, The Paddock Tack & Togs in Vernon, and Touch A Texas in Salmon Arm.

“Tickets go quickly so circle your calendar for a unique evening.”

For more information or for a donation, please contact Cheryle Hickman at 250-838-7904 or Roman at 250-546-9922.
