Summerland’s Midget Rep Jets sit on top of the Tier 3 standings with a 7-1 record after a pair of convincing home ice victories.

A large Friday night crowd on November 13 saw the Jets avenge their only regular season loss with a 8-1 pounding of Westside.

Tim Truman, Steve Semenoff and Graham Zagrodney each had a pair of goals, with singles coming from Nelson Hurry and Layne Richardson.

Sam Austin and Ty Truman had three assists each.

On Nov. 15 the Jets scored their first goal just 18 seconds into the game and then added six more in shutting out Vernon 7-0.

Semenoff had a hat trick, Rylan Sideroff scored twice and Shaun Fraser added a single. Kyle Lefebvre had three assists.

Trent Clay picked up both wins in goal.

The Jets beat the Okanagan Hockey Academy JV team 3-2 on Nov. 21 in exhibition action at the SOEC.

Semenoff, Lefebvre and Max Town had the goals, while Kenton Johnson had two assists.

Trevor Austin made 34 saves in the net for Summerland.

This Saturday’s game against South Okanagan should be a good one, as the Jets’ southern rivals have only a loss and a tie in league play and are sitting right behind Summerland in the standings.

Summerland beat South OK 5-4 in their only other meeting of the season in the Sam Hanon Memorial Tournament.

Game time at the Summerland Arena is 1:45 p.m.

Come out and cheer on the Jets.
