Midget Jets trounce Merritt

It was no Halloween hangover for the Summerland Midget House Jets as they blew out Merritt #2 in a 22-6 game at home.

The Jets scored at will, going through Merrit’s defense light lot butter.

They went five for seven on the penalty kills and three for eight on the power plays.

The Jets’ defense played a strong game as did the forwards.

Alana Parker was fantastic in net for the Jets.

The team is playing .500 hockey with three wins and three losses, outscoring opponents 50-31.

Scoring leaders are Brendan Clarke with five goals and six assists, Kael Clay with three goals and four assists,

Gunnar Clark with four goals and three assists, Andrew McAdam with four goals and two assists, Scott Hanon with two goals and two assists, Brandon West with one goal and three assists, Kelsey Jones with one goal and one assist, Megan Brooks with one goal and two assists, Elliot Clarke, Laura Ingram and Brent Hansen with two assists each, Tyler Gerlach and Darren Lauer with one assist each and Todd Basso with one goal.
