Fifteen Pee Wee racers were at Mt. Ida in Salmon Arm on Sunday for the Bark Buster Hare Scrambles race.

These racers range in age from five to nine years old and race their 50 cc and 65 cc motorcycles around a specially designed cross country course with parents and spectators cheering them on.

Racers travel from all over the Okanagan Valley to participate in this series.

In the 50 cc class, Derek Allanson, Jesse Insley, Rueben LePoidvin pulled off in first, second and third with Korbin Forsythe, Jayke Couffin, Rylie Cutler and Georgia Insley following close behind.

The 65 cc class had a terrific turnout with nine riders including Jack Christiansen, Giovenni Mazzei and Tye Mitchell in first, second and third.

Mitchell provided excitement by pulling a great wheelie right off the starting line.

Other racers in the 65 cc class included Cameron Roberge, Keegan LePoidvin, Alex Thompson, McKinley Skinner, Devon Nordbland and Mariah Mitchell.

The Bark Buster was the fourth race of the Okanagan Hare Scrambles Series with the next race being a double header race weekend, Oct. 17 in Naramata and then Oct. 18 in Peachland.
