'Death tower' will have toxic effects

Dear Editor:

Two wireless industry-position letters in the Sept. 3 Review caught the eye for their factual inaccuracies.

As one who has researched and worked professionally in the field of electromagnetic radiation assessment and protection (mitigation) for many years, I offer some corrections about this massive public health issue.

From our recent baseline assessment of EMR conditions in your area, I recommend that citizens oppose with vigour the proposed toxic cell transmitter — and the new toxic wireless water meters for that matter.

Consider that people worldwide are getting sick from this tsunami of unnatural radiation that began so recently and now threatens our health.

Alarming and increasing adverse reactions to EMR — in people and nature including pollinators — can be explained by thousands of studies showing how biology is impaired by this new type of air pollution, often called electropollution.

Now, with new wireless technologies such as the cellular transmitters intended to enrich Telus at the expense of  public and agricultural health, and new wireless water meters so admired by an uninformed town council, this increasing electrosmog threatens to damage every species.

After all, the planetary electrical environment is one of nature’s fundamentals, and altering radically the environment we were created into is to create the greatest scientific experiment ever, with all species elected as unwitting lab rats.

The “Radiation present from many sources” letter walks us through the average house, citing various sources of EMR, as if to say we’re all subjected to these emissions therefore they’re okay.

Aside from the lack of logic to this “monkey see no evil” position, let’s consider the point that consensus reality does not overrule the immutable laws of nature, and that just being unaware of dangers does not make them go away.

Our devices do emit radiation. In fact many gizmos we rely on should never be used, or should be converted into safe, wired alternatives.

As a professional testing technician I offer that many technologies, such as cordless and cell phones, wireless routers, computers and games and wireless water meters, are not tolerated by our “canaries in the coal mine” — the growing population of people suffering Electrical Hypersensitivity Syndrome.

This should be a warning to us all, despite our doctors’ and governing authorities’ lack of information as to why these painful allergic reactions and symptoms present.

We know for instance that many react to scents, and used to be classed as crazy. Now that science recognizes their justifiable reaction to chemicals that are in fact poison, we now see signs everywhere requesting folks not to use these often carcinogenic products.

Likewise our electrosensitives’ symptoms around EMR pollution should be reason enough to look deeper than the manipulated science which falsely claims that EMR is benign.

Adages about foxes in charge of chickens, and “follow the money” and “he who pays the piper calls the tune” come to mind.

Local residents would be wise to get informed and persuade council and fellow citizens to halt construction of the proposed Telus’ “death tower” and to reverse the imposition of wireless meters in homes, and to preserve the beautiful electrical environment that in the long term will benefit both public health and the economy.
