Editor’s note: The following is an open letter to Mayor Janice Perrino.
Dear Mayor Perrino:
You are often in the media about your work with the Canadian Cancer Society and other fund-raising activities you do for people who suffer from cancer and other diseases. Have you ever wondered why these diseases are on the increase?
Environmental factors cannot be ruled out as a potential cause.
The proposed microwave transmitter that will emit non-thermal radiation throughout Summerland cannot be ruled out as a potential health threat.
If you care enough to fund-raise for people who suffer from disease, then surely you must care enough to do what is necessary to help prevent cancer and other diseases.
Urge Telus to halt construction of the microwave transmitter tower until they can actually prove that this technology is safe and are willing to sign an affidavit as to the safety of this technology.
