Truck and trailer stolen

A U-Haul truck and trailer were reported stolen from Affordable Mini Storage last week.

Police say the theft of the trailer occurred between Oct. 24 and 26, while the theft of the truck was discovered on Oct. 30. The two thefts may be connected, police say.

Vehicles collide

On Oct. 31 at 10:30 a.m., a motorist was rear-ended on Highway 97 near Bentley Road.

Police say the driver of a Toyota Corolla swerved to miss a dog on the road. The driver of a Chevrolet Impala hit the brakes but could not avoid a collision. There were no injuries.

Fireworks seized

On Oct. 31, a boy was seen throwing firecrackers into a garbage can. Police say the boy was also carrying open liquor.

The fireworks were seized and the boy was given a ticket for possession under the liquor control and licensing act.

Suspensions issued

On Nov. 1 at 2 a.m., police conducted a road check of motorists. Three motorists were issued 24-hour suspensions.

Driver prohibited

On Oct. 31 at 11:15 p.m., a vehicle was stopped near Summerland Secondary School.The driver had been prohibited from driving.
