Organizers working to promote GamesTown 2010 say Summerland has not yet entered the promotion, even though the deadline is just days away.
Communities have until Oct. 31 to enter at www.GamesTown2010.ca.
At present, more than 100 B.C. communities have already entered.
The province, through ActNow B.C., is inviting communities across the province to showcase their Olympic and healthy living spirit and vie for the title of GamesTown 2010 and a $100,000 gold medal prize.
Communities with at least one entry by Oct. 31 will proceed to the next round.
A Viewers’ Choice online voting period will allow the public to choose the top 10 communities, but registered communities can still upload stories, photos and videos.
The voting period runs from Nov. 1 to Jan. 4.
