The regular meeting of municipal council was held on Monday at 7 p.m. in council chambers.

All council members except Coun. Bruce Hallquist were present.

Resolutions

Variance approved

Council approved a development variance permit for 17011 Lakeshore Drive.

The variance reduces the front yard setback from 6.0 metres to 4.5 metres for a proposed house.

Land sale approved

Council gave its support to the purchase and sale and repurchase option agreement to sell 9503 Cedar Ave. to Summervision Holdings Ltd. for $123,250.

Dispute system approved

Council agreed to be a partner in establishing and implementing a Bylaw Dispute Adjudication System with neighbouring local governments including Kelowna, Penticton, Lake Country, Peachland, West Kelowna and the Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen.

Council will forward a copy of the resolution to the Court Services Branch, Ministry of Attorney General.

Bylaws

Text amendment read

Council gave first reading to a zoning bylaw to permit additional uses at 11402 Victoria Rd. S.

Sewer area changes read

Council gave first three readings to a bylaw to amend the sewer specified area for 6709 Switchback Rd.

Zoning changes read

Council gave first reading to a bylaw to amend and rezone 10511 Quinpool Rd. to allow the construction of row housing.

Sewer expansion bylaw read

Council gave three readings to a bylaw to amend the sewer specified area bylaw to include 11799 Prairie Valley Rd.

Water metering bylaw read

A bylaw authorizing universal water metering was given first three readings.
