For the sixth year, the Penticton Tune-Agers will present a Christmas concert in Summerland.
Last year’s concert, on a very stormy Friday evening, was difficult to attend. Therefore, a decision was made to have this year’s presentation on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m.
This 40-voice choir is presented along with a 15-piece orchestra and will include a number of solos, duets and smaller groups.
The program includes a new arrangement of Magic To Do, which was entered at the provincial choir festival last summer, and old favourites including Baby It’s Cold Outside and Over The Rainbow.
The latter part of the program will feature a Christmas sing-along, ending with an all-inclusive presentation of I’ll be Home for Christmas, featuring Tune-Agers music director Patti Craig.
This is the 40th year of the Tune-Agers organization.
This year, the Kiwanis Club is trying to arrange for bus transportation to and from some of the senior care homes in order that the seniors who have problems driving will be able to attend.
Tickets are available at the Sweet Tooth, Summerland United Church and the Summerland Chamber of Economic Development and Tourism.
The concert will be held Sunday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. at the Summerland United Church.
