The transition of the Safe Homes Program and the Stopping the Violence Program from the Interior Health Authority (IHA) portfolio to Princeton Child Care Services portfolio is official.

Acting Program Coordinator, Heather Eriksen, and IHA representative, Sherry Uribe, worked together to make the transition a smooth one. “Interior Health Authority gave proper and legal notice to resign from the position of managing these programs. I trust that Sherry Uribe, representing IHA was confident that another qualified community service agency would step up to take on the administration of these programs. Sherry Uribe has an extremely busy schedule yet, she has continued to make herself available to us so that this transition of programs can be completed seamlessly,” said Eriksen. IHA did cut these programs from their management portfolio, but in no way will that affect the fiscal backing of these programs though their funding agencies. The Safe Homes # is the same, 250-295-8211. The new Stopping the Violence counsellor has been announced. Rosemary Clarke will be filling the position. She can be reached at 250-295-3126.
