If you closed your eyes just for a few moments and lay in the grass without moving down at Veterans Square over the weekend, you could be transported. Maybe to a time when life was much simpler. Maybe back 15 decades ago. The third annual Traditional Music Festival could not have happen at a more fitting time for a grand little town, we all know as Princeton.
150 years ago life was simpler. There was mining and ranching, logging and trading and all of it came with lots of hard work. Those with a knack for music turned history into song...and they are still doing it. Traditional music is music full of stories about strife and life. Princeton is a town proudly celebrating its 150 years on Earth. Its history was done proud, along with the history of British Columbians and Canadians everywhere as an endless riff of musicians filled the thankfully smoke-free air in the downtown core with their talent.

Eight scarecrows in total were constructed for the annual scarecrow contest that Fall Fair visitors have come to expect each year. The contest was just one of a full schedule of events over the weekend that kept volunteers hopping and visitors busy enjoying.
