KVR Express tastes championship glory

webKVRGr.8girls.jpg

The KVR grade 8 girls volleyball team reached the same heights as the boys but took a different route. The team finished seventh at the Grade 8 Thompson Rivers University tournament in Kamloops and finished fifth at the Maggie all Grade 9 tourney which was highlighted by wins over both Pen High 9s and Maggie 9s in straight sets. In South Zone league play, the Express finished in second place. The team rolled to the championship defeating Princeton and Osoyoos in straight sets before beating previously undefeated McNicoll in the finals 25-10, 25-10. This fine group of young ladies combined with the Grade 8’s from McNicoll will form a top level team at Pen High for the next four years.
