This week on Coach's Corner, Penticton Vees coach-GM Fred Harbinson will talk about Wednesdays win against the Trail Smoke Eaters. Also up for discussion is the commitment of eight players to Division I scholarships, with the most recent being Stephan Nicholishen to the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Vees voice Ryan Pinder and Harbinson will also talk about the home-and-home series with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks Friday at the SOEC. Silverbacks sniper Mark Zengerle was BCHL Player of the Week on Monday, and Salmon Arm is now ranked sixth in Canada in the CJHL rankings. Friday marks the Vees first clash with a nationaly ranked club, though the Vees are ranked No. 5 in Canada. Questions are encouraged from the audience and the fan with the best one will be rewarded with three tickets to Fridays game against the SilverBacks. All the fun takes place at the Kettle Valley Station Pub near the Ramada Inn at 6 p.m on Thursday.
