Reid Sutherland claimed the Twin Lakes club championship after shooting 161 during the two-day tournament.

Sutherland, who wasn't available for comment, was followed by Rae Langille at 163 and Gary Rosse at 166 in the first flight. Grant Olsen was the low net winner shooting 132.

The Prince George retiree insisted his win had nothing to do with skill.

"Some guys get lucky some days," he said laughing. "It's something like winning the lottery."

The weather was perfect for Olsen to enjoy his best round on the second day and said that never in his wildest dreams did he expect to get the overall. He was just hoping to win his group.

"There's a lot of good golfers out there," said Olsen. "I made some shots I wouldn't normally expect to make."

Olsen paid $10 to compete in the club championship with his only goal to score bragging rights among his friends.

"I was sending e-mails to everyone I know," said the 65-year-old. "That's really what's important that you can say you have won something."
