Twin Lakes golfers to the waltz

Kirk Dawson's four-some with Art Moore, Barry Palmer and Gord Sheehan were the top team in the waltz time event at Twins Lake Golf. The group shot 116 and were followed by John Schneider's group of Gerry Chalmers, Joe Sunde and Fred Moore who finished at 124. Also finishing with that score was Ralph Kline, Darryl Taylor, Ron Ebner and Ken Ferg. The final group which also shot 124 was Gerry Nimchuk, Jack Woods, Cliff White and Jim Armstrong. Closest to the pin winners were Gord Sheehan on two, Barry McLean on four, John Crandon on six and Kline on 11.

The ladies at Twin Lakes played hidden partners with Marge Imrich and Betty Muir winning the event. They were followed by Val Cahill and June Terpstra, Audry Dallamore and Diane Krancenblum.

Peach city trio rules lawn bowling championship

Penticton's Mike Bosnjak, Zeke Pescada and Lucille Leensbak bowled their way to a championship during the 11th Annual Fantastic Triples Lawn Bowling Tournament.

Vernon hosted the championship on June 28 and was open to all clubs in the Okanagan/Kamllops district.
